Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary 5 day Trek

This itinerary starts and ends at Pokhara, a beautiful valley that is 25 minutes flight, or 6 hours drive from Kathmandu. Pokhara is the starting point for Mardi Himal Trek Map.

Day 01: Drive to Kade and trek to Forest Camp (2554m) – 6 to 8 hours

Once you arrive in Pokhara, we drive to Kade in the morning- an hour of drive. From Kade, after one and half hours of trek, you will reach Australian Camp (2060m) to catch the beautiful view of the Annapurna range and Pokhara valley. From Australian Camp, you will trek to Deurali and head towards Forest Camp. This trail passes through the beautiful, lush green jungle. Overnight, you can local tea house in Forest Camp.

Day 02: Forest Camp to High Camp (3980m), 7/9 hours walk

 The next day, you should climb to the High Camp through the beautiful forest area. If you are lucky, you can also catch the glimpses of wildlife like Himalayan Thar, Barking Dear, Mask deer, spotted Deer, Snow leopard, etc.

 After an hour of trek, as you reach above the treeline, you can get clear sightings of the magnificent ranges of Annapurna and Hiunchuli. Once you reach Badal danda (cloud hill) you will be walking through grasslands. From here, you will reach High Camp.

Day 03: Trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4350m) and back to High Camp – 7 hours walk

Get prepared for the most fascinating day in the Base Camp of Mardi Himal Trek. If you want to enjoy the prodigious sunrise with the Himalayas in the background, you need to wake up early in the morning. Early morning, we walk up to the ridge to Mardi Himal Base Camp. We move our shanks along the well-established path that passes through the tall grass. Occasionally, you need to pass some steeper sections, before getting to the upper viewpoint.

The views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machapuchare, Baraha Sikhar, and Mardi are stunning from the place. After spending some moments there we further Mardi Himal Trek Base Camp. We will also have some rest here and walk back to the High Camp.

Today can be a long and tough day, but it is equally prodigious. You will have infinite awe-inspiring views and different photographic opportunities.

Day 04: Trek to Dhampus (1650m)-5-6 hours walk

The fourth day starts with a beautiful sunrise at Mardi Himal High Base Camp. After breakfast, you can start your descent. First, you will reach Pothana and then you can further walk to reach Dhumpus where you can spend your night.

Day 05: Trek down to Phedi and drive to Pokhara (1130m)- 1.5/2 hours trek and 1-hour drive

After an awesome view of sunrise and majestic mountain peaks from Dhampus, we can ascend to Phedi. From Phedi, it’s an hour of drive to Pokhara.
