Ghorepani Poonhill Trek itinerary- 3 days

Note: To complete Poonhill Ghandruk trek in 3 days, you are likely to start the trek from Pokhara. If you start the trek from Kathmandu, you should either fly to Pokhara or have a private vehicle. For the first night, you should reach a village named Ulleri which is around 4 to 5 hours of drive from Pokhara.

Day 1: Drive/ Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then drive to Ulleri. Ulleri is the last stop for the vehicle. You can then get the jeep to Ulleri from Pokhara or Nayapul. Overnight at a tea house in Ulleri.

Day 2: Next day, it’s a 5 to 6 hours hike to Ghorepani. You will be walking along the Rhododendron forest and mountain streams. There are many beautiful and luxurious hotel over Ghorepani to spend your night.

Day 3: Early morning hike from Ghorepani to Poonhill- you can witness the stunning sunrise with the magnificent views of the Himalayan range. Then it’s a descend to Ghorepani. After breakfast, you will descend to Ullleri which is around 2 hours of walk. From Ulleri, you can get a jeep to Nayapul and then to Pokhara.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek Itinerary- 4 days

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and overnight in a hotel at Pokhara. You can also do some sightseeing if you arrived early.

Day 2: Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri. You can either drive to Ulleri and spend overnight over there or drive to Ulleri early morning in a jeep and trek to Ghorepani. To get to Ghorepani for the night, you must start your trek before noon and should have a good pace.

Day 3: Hike from Ulleri to Ghorepani along Rhododendron forest and mountain streams. There are many beautiful and luxurious teahouse over Ghorepani to spend your night.
If you have already completed this hike yesterday, you can hike to Poonhill (while is a 45 min to an hour hike) and witness the sunrise.

Day 4: Early morning, hike from Ghorepani to Poonhill. You can witness the stunning sunrise with the magnificent views of the Himalayan range. Then it’s a descend to Ghorepani. After breakfast, you will descend to Ullleri which is around 2 hours of walk. From Ulleri, you can get a jeep to Nayapul and then to Pokhara.
If you have already witnessed the Sunrise yesterday, day 4 will be easier. You can descend to Ulleri in the morning and then drive to Pokhara.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek Itinerary- 7 day

This is a professionally designed itinerary, especially for international tourist. Under 7 days itinerary, you get enough time to assimilate with the altitude, enjoy the nature and interact with local people.

Day 1: Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel in Kathmandu. If you arrive early, you can also do some sightseeing.

Day 2: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu, as it is known the city of temples with lot of UNESCO listed world heritage sites. You can enjoy a tour of famous temples as Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, etc. You can spend overnight at hotel at Kathmandu at enjoying the nightlife of Thamel.

Day 3: After breakfast, drive to Pokhara, which is 6 to 7-hour journey to Pokhara. Overnight, you can spend at the beautiful lake city of Pokhara.

Day 4: During the morning, you will be driving from Pokhara to Nayapul ( around 3 hours of journey) and then trek to Hile (1430m). The walk starts when you cross the suspension bridge of the Modi River. Overnight at a tea house in Hile

Day 5: Otherday, you will be trekking Ghorepani (2874m). During the walk, you will walk through the stone staircases, small streams and beautiful village of Uleri.

Day 6: Next day, its an early morning trek to PoonHill (3210m) to witness the stunning sunrise. Then you can descend to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara. You will spend the night in Pokhara

Day 7: You will be driving back to Kathmandu on the 7th day.
